Maybe I need to chime in here....

I host linksysinfo.org, we run Mcafee Enterprise virus software on the server and there are NO virus's on the website. Simple as that.

Perhaps instead of trying to create a problem you should invest in some better virus software and not try to cause havoc on here....

Its sad this has come to this point, GeeTek was clearly a big user of Linksys products and valuable contributor in the past.

When you view a thread on Linksysinfo not all the content is served up by the linkysinfo webserver hosted by ksp. Adverts come from amazon.com and Google.com for instance. In this case I strongly suspect Google a source of the problem it uses javascript to show relevant adverts based on page content and I suspect users history (by Google cookies?). Therefore we don't all see (or ignore!) the same adverts and "false positive alerts" may not be reproducible from one machine to another.

There was also a Trojan a couple of years ago that redirected the Google add link

and perhaps it is this type of behaviour the beta antivirus thought it detected?

Curiously if domain based adblocking is used on the router running Tomato, this could appear to be redirecting the origin of the google ad javascript to a localhost which could be regarded as suspicious behaviour...

I totally agree.

Wow, I'm quite surprised. GeeTek has helped me in the past with a few issues with my Linksys products, I never thought he'd openly accuse this site of giving him a trojan when he was the ONLY one experiencing the problem. he should have known better than that.

I use the same anti-virus and there were no hits when I opened the page. I think something else was going on.
