I'm a real NOOB and I just seem to get more confused reading all of the past post with different terms everyone uses for the same thing.

    Here is what I have:

router # 1 WRT54G (firmware: v1.00.1) using all of the factory default settings

    IP: 192.168.1.1
connected to a Broadband router for Internet
    Hardwired to XP desktop
    wirelless for Xbox & Laptop

    router # 2 wrt54gs (version 4) running DD-WRT V23 VPN
    IPP: 192.168.2.1
    hardwired to XP desktop
Wireless to Laptop & other desktop running '98

What I want to do is have each router as a AP with it's own network group & with different SSID's and different on different channels all wireless as router 1 is approx 200 feet from router # 2 (my sisters house nex block over)

We only want to share the 1 High speed internet service and not have access or share other resources. My sister is OK with this as long as I don't screw around with her hardware or upgrade the software on her router ( I guess she remembers me futzing up things by my "learning Process" when we were kids!) She wants to keep DHCP server enabled on her end.

    Is this even possible ?

If not what is next best option doing it wireless and not upgrading router# 1 ?

B.T.W. I have no problem connecting to router #1 currently with my Laptop and 2 desktops from location #2 and my wrt54gs (router#2) can see router #1 when I access the status page

    Thanks
