I have 2 networks that I am trying to use. Both have the same ssid but one has wep and the other is open. I can't seem to get windows to connect to the open 1 because it is trying to use it with wep. Is there anyway to setup 2 or more seperate configs in windows for the same ssid.

I don't think so, Windows seems to use the SSID as the "UNIQUE" Identifier when storing the wireless settings.

Probably either have to disable WEP for the connection and renable each time or change the SSID for one of the networks.

Both of which are a pain... :)

Use the older, prefinal5 without the SSID fix and do a filter by MAC.

I ran into a similar problem... where a home user was unable to connect to our office connection because both connections were using default SSID, and we had different security settings.

I just changed the SSID on our office network & APs, and that eliminated the conflict with winXP. -It is also a general good practice to change from the default SSID, and change broadcast SSID to 'No'.

Changing the SSID is really easy (using Linksys Firmware). Of course you will need to reconfigure all of our wifi clients with the new SSID.
