i have 2 WRT54G's one is connected to my DSL and the other is hardwired from port 1 to port 1.
    The setup is like this
    WRT54A /
DHCP for the last 10 addresses
    internet type PPPOE / Gateway

    WRT54B / G/W
DHCP for the last 10 addresses
DNS Internet type Disabled / Router

I wanted to use a few different subnets to help cut down on the chatter ect... Now this setup does work if you just want to surf. When I connect my laptop to one of the lan ports on WRT54B it gets its DHCP from the A liksys and I can surf but can not ping the WRT54B Device nor can I see any other devices attached to it. I can telnet into the WRT54A device and see all devices attched to it with no problem. I am sure i am missing something simple, :)

    thanks Dave

Well as you have noticed all you did was make the second wrt a switch. If you went port 1 from A to the Wan port of B you would accomplish this but then you would have to go through B's firewall, not sure if you can turn it off. What you want can be done but its going to take 3rd party firmware and turning one of the ports on the wrt into a second vlan (theres a couple threads somewhere on the site that talk about that). Lots of ways to do it with other devices but none other that i can think of with the 2 that you have.
