I have sucessfully linked 2 networks together using 2 x WAP54g devices being 2.14Km apart into 25db grid arrays. My problem is that I have just purchased a notebook with wifi and I want to use it, but I can't get it to sucessfully connect. The end I want to connect to is the end with the internet connection. Currently both AP are configured in "Bridge Mode". Our final configuration will look like this.

    Point A: LAN into WAP54g
Point B: LAN into WAP54g with internet with LapTop access

Any comments would be most appreciated.

In "Bridge Mode" the second WAP54G will not allow wireless clients only wired clients, you will have to use the second WAP54G as a repeater instead and suffer the loss of bandwidth as a repeater. If you had a third WAP54G you could hook it as a Access Point.

I have played with the APs, and now have them configured as follows.

Point A: Repeater pointing at Point "B" MAC
    Point B: AP

    Point A functions fine.
Point B can't ping anything @ Point "A" but can explore the LAN and can see everything. A bit weird I thought.

But the upshot is that it all works and the laptop can connect @ Point "B" as well. I haven't yet tested if the laptop can connect @ Point "A"

    Many thanks for the comments.
