    hello out there,

yesteday i upgraded to thibor 15c. now i wanted to enable afterburner because i'm running two wrt54gs in AP+WDS-mode.

i tried to put nvram set wl_afterburner_override=1;nvram commit ino the startup script but that doesn't seem to work.

what do i have to do to get afterburner working? 8O

i've searched the forum but couldn't find any hint how to do that.

    thanks in advance! :thumb:

it's not wl_afterburner_override, it's just afterburner_override. if you search just a little more, you will see a post that Toxic made just yesterday that details just how to force afterburner on.
that is: nvram set wl_afterburner=on;nvram set afterburner_override=1;nvram commit;reboot
btw, afterburner is supposed to be off in a wds environment, but if you want it on, there's how to do it.

WAIT!!! that command does not go into any startup script. or your router will reboot on an endless loop.

    just run the command

    nvram set wl_afterburner=on;nvram set afterburner_override=1;nvram commit;reboot

    from telnet once.

btw the "nvram commit" saves the settings so you should not need it again unless you hard reset the router.

Thibor - Why is afterburner supposed to be off in WDS? If it is on will it limit the connection is some way between the WDS routers?

I though if it was on:
    1) the WDS routers would be able to transfer at a faster rate.
    2) wireless clients could connect at a faster rate.

I'm running your 15c flavor. I just have it set on the wireless advance page to Auto and was thinking of changing it to enabled rather than running the code: nvram set wl_afterburner_override=1;nvram commit
