I need some help, i have a wrt54gs wireless router and i am connected with a ethernet cord to it, and my brother is connected to it with a wireless piece and we both have xbox live and our own 360s and we both play multiplayer matches together with friends and we constantly get disconnected from live although we can sign right back in. I want to know a way i can change settings in the router so i dont get disconnected every 20 minutes with my brother. A linksys tech said something different though, he said i might need a cable modem with cabability of holding 2 different ip adresses so i can use each xbox for their own ip since it might be an ip adress conflict for both xboxs on 1 single ip causing these disconnects. Any help that would be great, thanks

The tech could be right, though i am not sold on it just yet. Would have to know how xbox live works from a connectivity standpoint. Because you have 2 connections from the same ip is not a big deal, however if xbox live only sends a single connection back occasionally on a particular port to check that connections are live is where you can run into an issue. If you can find out the nuts and bolts of how it works, we can help to resolve it.
