    Hello to all :)

    Today i got another WRT54GS.

Im running the WRT54GS for a long time now with HyperWRT Firmware.

To due my problems with the WLAN range, i bought another one.

My Problem is now, that i cant connect to the internet via the 2nd WRT.

I have upgraded the new one with the exact same firmware than running on my "old one".

Everything is working pretty fine. The new one is listed on my laptop with around 100% signal strength connected through PCMCIA card.

The only problem i have is, that i cant browse the www

im not an expert in network things but i think that there must be shown something in the status window!?! am i right?

right now i have automatic DHCP and in the status window i only see

is there anyone around who can explain me, how to setup the router as an accesspoint?

sorry for my english but thanks for your help :)

Connect the two routers with cat 5 cable by plugging it into a lan port on both. Then disable dhcp on the router that is NOT connected to your cable/dsl modem. Also make sure you set the IP address of the router NOT connected to the modem to something other than the default so it will not conflict with the router that is connected to the modem. I suggest "". After that try again. It should work.
