I live in new olreans where one area does not have internet or phone and I would like to get wireless there. We have one house about 3/4 mile away where I can share the internet from and I was wondering what kind of antennas I would need at the 2 locations.

I was wondering if a sector antenna would work or would I need to use a directional?

You should take a look at f2atv.com for your answer. They have a WIFI section, where people have been talking about exactly what you wanting to do. People are using the directional antennas to get it done. You should take a look there. I'm trying to do the same thing as you, and I have my eye on a set of

    Wireless 2.4ghz Antenna

Something like this antenna. I've seen them on ebay too at a decent price. But I am still hinting towards the flat rectangular ones because they don't look like anything. Most people wouldn't even give them a second glace.
