32MB routers: What to do with the extra ram?

I'm running MLPPP Tomato on a WRTSL54GS with 32MB of ram and there is always at least 17MB free. I've already increased DNSMASQ's cache to 8192 entries and I have no use for the USB port (NAS is too slow through these routers, maxing out around 5MB/s). I don't need any adblocking scripts because all the PCs on the network have adblocker plus installed with firefox.

What else can I use the extra ram for? Are there any other cache sizes I can increase to improve performance?

    Thanks

load stuff like the snmpd for instance from the web into ram (/tmp/) and execute it from there

Leave it alone, and if anything needs to use it, it will  If you are using tomato, it is probably already using most of the memory as cache. The extra memory will make your router less inclined to become unstable especially in the event of a connection storm, which is one of the reasons for slow and rebooting routers.

You point to something that I brought up in the determination of "best". And that is having extra ram does not in and of itself make one router better than another.
