I live in a small condo and like to push all my computers to the less crowded 5GHz band. The only problem is my thinkpad x60 only has abg and no n. my question is whether wrt610n can support both 802.11a and n clients at the same time?i

If you restrict it to a 20Mhz band, it will work. Depends on the wireless NIC in your thinkpad. Some of the Intel NICs have issues with encryption. The 802.11A band has limited range through walls, so you may want to stick with the 802.11G band.
