A strange thing I've noticed with my WRT54GS (v4)

I've got 2 WRT54GS v4's linked via WDS and with one connected to an ADSL2MUE on a 3mpbs/384kbps DSL line.

Hardware in use is 3 Desktop PC's (2xWinXP, 1x Linux), 1 laptop (wireless, WinXP), a Nokia N80 (wireless) an XBOX & a PS3 and every 2 weeks I've had to power cycle the WRT connect to the MUE due to the internet dropping out and not being able to reconnect.

around a month ago, I switched everything from WinXP to Ubuntu and I've just noticed that the WRT has been up for 34 days. :D

Not sure what it means, my useage hasn't changed at all, just my OS. Weird.

Hmm Linux seems to be a little friendlier on the old WRT. Maybe better management of network traffic/packets so less load on the router? You would be supprised at the queries that Windows does to the network even when you aren't using the computer. Throw wireshark on sometime and sniff your wireless nic and just leave it for a while then take a look.
