A website is being blocked and I cannot determine why

    Here's the gist of it.

    ISP: Comcast
    Router: Linksys WRT54G
    Flashed with DDWRT and Tomato

About a month or so ago I noticed that I couldn't access the website of www.worldstarhiphop.com

This also includes the embedded videos. And it effects all computers on my network.

So today I finally got around to trying to troubleshoot it. I disabled my personal firewall, disabled my spyware protection, disabled adblock plus, turned off my router and did a direct modem connection. It worked.

Except...when I plugged back in my router for the first time ever it had 0's for the IP address, the DNS, Gateway...So I just restarted the router and modem along with my laptop to get that back to normal. I hadn't experienced that since I used previous routers without DDWRT

I even tried to use OpenDNS's 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220 in Basic > DDNS and that didn't help!

    Anyone have any suggestions?

*I thought I had reverted back the OpenDNS but under overview the numbers are still there. Still listed as static IPs. I just want my roommates to quit complaining...

Just to add on, I did a 30 second hard reset to revert back to the original default settings. I then tried another modem to computer connection

Once again, I could access the site through my modem. But, when I plugged my freshly reverted router in, it would say that I had no connection. Did a ipconfig /renew & release and that didn't solve the problem. Only unplugging the modem did.

Then, I tried to access the site through the router...no go.

So basically, I can only access the site without my router it seems and whenever I plug the router back in I have to reset my modem.

Any help would be nice unless something like this has been answered before. In that case, please point me in the right direction

Unfortunately, you don't actually give any details of your setup except to say that your WRT54G somehow runs both Tomato and DD-WRT simultaneously.

I don't think this will help you much, but the site works here with Tomato versions from Jon Zarata, Victek, and Teddy Bear, no problems. So, if you are using Tomato, somehow I guess it must be your configuration. It may be corrupted. The usual cure for weird happenings is to reset NVRAM and enter your configuration again by hand, from scratch.

My apologies, i'm not the most technical when it comes to routers (yet) but if you can tell me what I should be looking for I could probably provide it.

Just a few hours ago I did a hard 30 reset as of the ddwrt wiki on their website and went back to just plain dd-wrt mini, and then standard. So I guess now I'm in the wrong section. I'm just baffled that I frequent many sites daily, and it's just that one site that not only can I not access, but not any of the computers my router supports can.

    Mind boggling.
