A WRT54GS as a network card?

Using a modded firmware, is it possible to use the router simply as a wireless network card to connect to my PC via a network cable? It connects to our other Linksys router which is connected directly to a cable modem.

I don't really want to set up the main router connected to the cable modem for WDS

    Thanks for any help

I'm using my WRT54GS w/ Sveasoft Alchemy RC6a as a "client" right now. That is the trick, in the screen Setup/Wireless, you choose "Client" as the wireless mode. Then, the SSID, wireless security settings, etc., that you fill are relevant to the device that you are connecting *to*.
