EDIT: THANKS FOR THE HELP PEOPLE, FIXED IT!!

    -----------------------------------

    Hey,

Got a problem with my WRT54G in that it won't boot any more,
    (power light flashes).

tried loads of things to fix it but it just wont happen.

just wanted to know if anyone could suggest anything else before i bin it and probably get a new one.

With a static IP I can ping the router...

I've tried TFTP and it says tranfer cancelled.
I've tried the linksys auto fix thing and the transfer reaches 93% everytime and says transfer cancelled.

    Please help, Thanks everyone!

if youy can ping it then tftp should work. what size of binary are you trying to flash it with? what version of WRT54G do you have?

Thanks so much, saved me £50 odd quid!!!!

Used the TFTP.exe program, set a high number of retries and reflashed with sveasoft.

    Made my day, Thanks again!

Just for info, its a V.2 and i tryed loads of binaries, of which none worked.

you cannot on most linksys tftp.exe programs load any firmware over 3mb in size, you need a smaller firmware binary.

glad you got the router fixed, though i am very sure the answers for this were already on the website.
