Access cable modem (ping/http)

I'm trying to access my cable modem's management web page.

Before changing any of the startup scripts, I'm just using the Tools | System Commands to test.

Without anything changed, Tomato can ping the cable modem at 192.168.100.1
I cannot ping it from my computer even though I have a multihomed address of 192.168.100.10

    I've entered:
ip addr add 192.168.100.251/24 dev vlan1 brd +
    iptables -I POSTROUTING -t nat -o vlan1 -d 192.168.100.0/24 -j MASQUERADE

Now, I can ping 192.168.100.251 as well as 192.168.100.1 from Tomato, but still no 192.168.100.x address is pingable from my computer. (The above used to work when I had DSL and was using TeddyBear's builds a couple of years ago)

I'm using Shibby's 1.28.0005 099 ND USB VPN build on an Asus WL 500 gp v2

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi!

    Try: iptables -I POSTROUTING -t nat -o vlan1 -d 192.168.100.0/24 -j MASQUERADE ip addr add 192.168.100.251/24 dev vlan2 brd +
