    Hi guys,

I am using ASUS RT-N16 with latest teady bear mod of tomato (K26USB-1.27.9047MIPSR2-beta16) firmware and I just recently get Transmission to work on the router.

While I can access the WebUI of Transmission with, I would like to be able to access it from work with http://outsideip:9091, but couldn't get it to work. I tried port forwarding to IP but it didn't work and I sort of know something is wrong with this forwarding. I did include my office IP in the RPC-whitelist but that didn't help either.

What are the ways to achieve this goal?

Instead of traditional firewalling, since it is running on the router, try this in the Firewall script instead:

    iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING 2 -p tcp -d `nvram get wan_ipaddr` --dport 9091 -j ACCEPT
    iptables -t filter -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 9091 -j ACCEPT

you just need putty wherever you are - open a ssh session but configure it to tunnel to a dynamic port like 3000, then configure your firefox or IE to connect to proxy (localhost) port 3000, then you'll be able to access your router like you're in your home network from firefox (

I tried your second line and it seems to be working.
    Thank you.

Maurer, I haven't tried your solution yet, but will when I get some time.
