ACK priorities in relation to other priorities?

Hi everyone, I've been lurking these forums for a while, but it seems that I finally found a reason to register because nobody asked this before

What I'm trying to find out is what the actual priority of ACK packets is when Prioritize ACK is activated. Are they "highest", Above/below that, or do they get handled entirely different from other packets? And does an ACK packet from a connection in the "high" class get a higher priority than one from a "medium" connection?
My knowledge of Linux packet shaping is rather limited and flooding this connection for a couple of hours to test everything is not really an option, so I would be glad if somebody could help me with this.
