I currently have a WRT54G router. The Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 series has a B card installed with an off/on switch. Can I install a Linksys G adapter in the card slot? Is there a conflict here? If not, which model adapter would you recommend? Running XP Pro.

if your running XP Pro just disable the internal card from system device manager.

The WPC54G or GS should be ok.

Thank You Simon. What is the difference between the regular G and the Speedbooster? In general which is the better product? I ask this because I have had people tell me they have had problems with the Speedbooster products. ie.. other non Linksys products connecting.

well the speedbooster is suppose to add upto 30% faster throughput, however, the all your network devices neet to be speedbooster compatable and support it for this to make any difference. since you have a WRT54G i would use a 54G card that doesn't support any other protocol such as speedbooster, the gain is very little and the non speedbooster products work fine. i have a Belkin F5D7010 adapter which works fine with the WRT54G. though do not compromise too much on price. |A lot of the time you get what you pay for:)

Simon, Thank you again. I need to get another router for a different location. Would you recommend the speedbooster model over the regular WRT54G?
