Adding a wireless router to a wired network

I have a linksys stackpro II 24 port hub (DSHUB24) which feeds my 3 story house. In an upper room, I'd like to add a wired router (BEFW11S4) to allow wireless within the house.

I have been able to pass the wired connection through the LAN ports but the wireless signal does not show up in Vista.

Is it connected properly or is Vista not seeing it?

    Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, the BEFW11S4 is an old model. Could it have been previously configured with security parameters that would prevent you from seeing it (e.g. SSID broadcast disabled, MAC filtering, Wi-Fi disabled, etc.)?

Just to be clear, the BEFW11S4 is setup as an access point (i.e. DHCP disabled, nothing plugged into the WAN port, etc.)?

No, i reset everything. I have the wire from coming out of the wall (from the hub) going to one of the lan ports and another lan port connected to the pc. my wireless laptop sitting right next to the BEFW11S4 doesnt see it...

So either the wireless on the router is disabled, the wireless on the laptop is disabled or 1 or both is bad. If your computer can see other wireless devices you know the laptop is good. Overall i have not had an issues with vista and wireless. Though i have never tried connecting via wep as i do not think that BEF offers wpa but i could be wrong.
