Adding HGA7T to WRT54G gives a worse signal

    Hi everybody,

I had some problems at home, because my WRT54G signal didn't arrive
with enough strength to my room (-80db or less).

So I tried to change the antennas to HGA7T 7dbi gain antena.

After replacing them what I realize is not only that the signal strength
got any better, but it also got worst (-82db or -84db never better).

Also when I got near the router it got lower (-22db instead -19db with
    the original antennas).

I suppose I'm doing something wrong, antenna positioning, router positioning,
but manuals didn't have any chapter called "trouble-shooting" o so.

Any help will be greatly welcome.
    thanks in advance
