ADSL2MUE Blocking Pings

    Hi

Ive installed a Linksys ADSL2MUE modem to replace an old DLink. Behind it is a Netgear FVS328 router.

Both are setup identically, but with the Linksys, I cannot access VPN services behind it, and it also is blocking pings.

There is no blocking functionality on the modem I can see and both have identical ADSL setups.

If I unplug and put the Dlink in instead all works fine

    Any Ideas appreciated.

    Thanks

The ADSL2MUE is a single port router rather than a strait modem which might be the cause of your problems. If you can get it to work in bridged mode it will revert to being a strait modem but this requires your ISP to accept PPPoE. I think the DLink modems are semi bridged which is why it works diferently.
