    Hi all,
I have WRT54GL running DD-WRT, I would like connect a laptop to my router 7 floors above me in a concrete high-rise apartment build. Each floor is about 3 meters high so laptop is 21 meters or 70 feet above me. My apartment and the other apartment 7 floors above me is in an "L" shape with windows facing the same corner.

If I get a pair of Linksys 7db high gain antenna like the following ones:

and try to put my router near windows, I wonder would this be good enough for a wireless laptop to connect to my router 7 floors down.

Or would it be better to get another WRT54G and bridge them together each using high-gain antenna point toward each other in a vertical plain? But then the wireless laptop would have to use LAN cable to connect to it's own WRT54G as it's in bridge mode.

    Any advise or good suggestions?

    Thanks,
