As stated earlier I have actually no problems with my WAG54G. I am using 1.02.3 firmware. I have two PC hardwired connected to the WAG. One PC is using XP-Home and the other XP-Pro. I have installed SP2 on the machine with XP-Home without any difficulty.
Now since the install of SP2 I loose internet connection from time to time on BOTH machines. With other words it seems that the router is blocking. If I go to the status page of the WAG and disconnect the ADSL, refresh the page and connect again it is working fine again.

    Anybody an idea?

Yes, Norton Internet Security! But this was there in the same configuration BEFORE I installed SP2. How do you think this might be of influence?

Funny you should say this, since updating to SP2 my router seems to stop routing from my PC to the Internet after a little while. The strange this is, it seems to have something to do with DNS.

Any existing connections seem to be unaffected, Bittorrent, newsgroups, etc... are unaffected. But new connections or webpages in IE don't come up, with an error about server not available or something. I initially thought is was the PC, but I could still connect to the router setup pages and connections to other PC's on my internal network are fine. Rebooting the router fixes the problem for me. Based on all this, I assumed the issue was with my ISP (Pipex) , but now you've got me thinking again.

I'm on v1.02.3 with just Zone Alarm.

    is this still ongoing?

Guys, is this still ongoing? I have seen a possible link in that the problem is across multiple vendors cards, and only affects XP pro. I havent seen anything with xp home

WinXp Pro on 3 machines here, all updated to SP2, all connected through WAG54G & no problems like disconnecting as mentioned above.

Not running any software firewalls, only hardware firewall on router.
