After connecting w/ XP over VPN to my linksys, I am only able to do a few network actions on the linksys LAN. I can ping, http over any port, pull up a microsoft share list on a computer, but I am not able to access a shared folder, or use any remote software, such as VNC or DameWare.

I imagine there is some sort of routing issue--TCP vs. UDP, or some firewall issues?

    All advice is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Check the cpu usage of your WRT while connected. I think that's the reason because there is not enough power to do more - that was my experience.

    95% CPU Utilization

Yup, I am seeing 95% CPU Utilization with a client connected, but with no data xferring. Why does an idle connection require that much computation? If an idle connection requires 95%, how is this being offered as a feature?

Is this a configuration issue, or are we just asking to much of this processor?

I was having the same problem. Try disabling the Loopback under Administration. After I did that a lot of the problems I experienced cleared up.
