One day evening suddenly my Linksys WAG54G v2 failed to bootup.I returned the product to my vendor. After 4 weeks the computer shop gave me a Linksys WAG54G. The router design looks very different when the first time i saw my new router pack. .Finally with lot of confusion i opened the seal of the router pack (Yep i don’t want to waste one more month to get the new one) .What a surprise this is a new model which they labeled as WAG54G v3. WAG54G V3 looks like a WAG354G but it came with SMA antenna and the top panel has a fixed hole for the antenna. So not a tab that can be pushed away as with the WAG354G. On the internet I can't find any information about this type.

I have started using my new WAG54G v3 now .Seems to be V2 is EOL.
If u send ur old wag54gv2 router for the replacement linksys will send u the new model WAG54G v3 only..It works on firmware v1.00.21.

Good improvement in the design and the functionality  Yep it came with the Management Telnet support.. Which V2 or V1 don’t !.. Hope i will get more good info through this thread! I would like to welcome all the WAG54G v3 users to exchange info in this thread!

Thanks for the info. I received a V3 some time ago and I had some questions about it.

The modem on the picture is not a WAG54GV3. It is a WRT54G3G. The Wireless-G Router for 3G/UMTS Broadband.

The WAG54G has another antenna and 8 leds instead of 9.

It could be very interesting to have here a comparison with the WAG 54G v2 or the WAG 200G...
