All I want is external logging

So, I used to have one of the original BEFSX41s and used it's external logging.

Since needing wireless and going with the WRT54G (and sold my BEFSX41 to a client) I really miss the external logging.

If everyone else can "enable" this function on the WRTs, does anyone know why Linksys hasn't?

I'm hesitant to use a 3rd Party firmware since the OEM version has not given me ANY problems.

So, is there a firmware that isn't going to screw me and at least give me the ability to send logs to a PC running say wallwatcher or something?

    Thanks

I am currently using Alchemy with Wallwatcher and have had no problems. I simply have it dump the logs to a PC with a static IP that is running wallwatcher.

I am fairly new to WallWatcher, but haven't had any issues so far.

Does this also require a 3rd party firmware like Alchemy?

you could try dd-wrt pre 5. or the "sneak peak" stable version.
