AM200, IP and DNS addresses

    I am new here.
I recently bought a Linksys AM200 to which I have connected an Asus WL-500gP V2 router.

    My question seems quite simple...
The AM200 configuration interface let you choose to get IP automatically from the ISP or to use a fixed IP. The problem is that in the second case the configuration interface let you also set two fixed DNS addresses, while in the first case it does not!

I have an ISP that assigns dynamic IP addresses automatically but does NOT assign DNS addresses automatically (I have to set them manually).

In Windows (and in all the routers/ADSL gateways I tried) you can separately set the "get IP automatically/use fixed IP" and "get DNS automatically/use fixed DNS" options, while the AM200 seems to mix the two concepts.

The result is this: the DDNS client of AM200 seems not to work (it does not update the IP I am assigned) and my suspect is that this is due to the fact AM200 can't resolve the DDNS service host names, because I set it to get IP dynamically and it expects to be given DNS addresses automatically, too, while it doesn't.

    Any suggestion on this?
