What antennas are available, have been tested, and are recommended for use with the WAP54GPE?
if yo can plug them, then must work. What do you want? indoor or outdoor. I recommend you buy the best price/"power" antenna, I have a cheap antenna (outdoor) and have a link a mile far away.
PD: sorry about my english
Although it's an external AP, it will be used to serve wifi within an apartment complex. It will be located in a place where it will need to ruggedness of an outdoor AP.
They have a RP-N connector, you can buy a pigtial from d-link, and then any N style antenna will work.
Take my advice, stay away from the wap54gpe, they are total junk. They leak water after a few weeks, the lan connectors corrode. Not only that, these things suffer horrible problems with packet loss, and need rebooted quite often.... If you want to be a guinny pig, go ahead, but be forwarned.
We are trying to get our money back on the 7 we have now, 2 of them already died on us, and the rest function terribly.
Thanks, I'll take your advice and stay away. This still leaves with with the question of what I can use as a good outdoor AP with a decent High Gain omni-antenna.
