Any way to run program from USB?

I am using Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-121 K26 USB AIO-64K on an RT-N66U. As I use a satellite ISP with a low data usage cap, I have avoided streaming programs such as netflix and youtube to keep my usage in line.

A program about to come in to Beta testing offers to be able to cache streamed video for playback at the user's convenience (http://satellite.videostreamshift.com/). Since my ISP offers a late night dispensation from the data cap, this would be ideal for many of us who can only stream during the late night hours when we are asleep. It runs from a USB stick on the router and the developer has been working with the RT-N66U among other routers. He tells me that it will work with Asuswrt but does not know about TomatoUSB.

Does this sound possible? Looks like it might run in the "Run After Mounting" feature? If you are interested in Beta testing, register with his website.
