Anyone ever changed LAN side IP address on wrt54g?

I tried to change my lan side router address to be on the network. I have a server and some other devices on the network and would like to replace my D-link router with this Linksys router running DD-WRT.

I tried to simply change the router address to 0.1 and after that nothing worked and I could not get into the router to change anything. I ended up having to reset to factory defaults (took a couple times holding reset to get all the way clean). Has anyone successfully change the internal network on this router? If so, what did you have to do to get it working properly?

Of course it didn't help that I was plugged into my existing network when I did this change! Might have caused spanning tree loop. Any info would be appreciated.

Just yesterday, I changed my router address to to use ICS, still working fine.

    I figured it out

My bad, please ignore this. All of a sudden it hit me! The address change worked fine, but my firewall was still configured for the network! I just have to change my firewall first or flush the iptables, then change it. Sorry about that.
