AP client mode

    Hi,
    this is possibly a FAQ, but I was wondering if anyone tried that.
    I have a WRT54G running in AP mode, and WAP54G running
    AP client mode so that I can bridge two segments of my home network.

    I am running into intermittent problems - the connection seems
    to choke (quite often, unfortunately) and then works smoothly
    for some time and so on

    Here's the topology (apologies for a lousy ASCII art)
    WORLD---[WRT54G]~~~[WAP54G]---[SWITCH]
    ~~~ wireless link (chan 11, WEP open key)
    --- copper link
    there are multiple nodes connected to WRT54G and to the SWITCH (TRENDnet TE-100 S8P).
    Any ideas what could improve the link stabilty?
    I'm puzzled
