Are There Definitive Tomato Instructions?

I was hoping to find something like a manual that explains Tomato Firmware. If someone could lead me to these directions/explanation of features, I'd be grateful as I don't completely understand routing, though I'm not ignorant. I was an audio/video installer until recently and have wired several (hundred?) systems.

The setup is a Cox cable modem, WRT54GS Version 1.1 with Tomato 1.27, and SPA2102-NA, and 2 hardwired PCs with static IPs. In addition, there is a Magicjack attached to PC2. Up/Down speeds are 1500/14000 (roughly). Both PCs running XP Pro.

After making 2 match rules which placed the Magicjack first by MAC address and destination ports for RTP and SIP ports at the top of the list and highest priority, the Magicjack ends up at lowest priority. I tried a few other things with it, but it always ends up in a lower class. I didn't set any service classes or any inbound rules as the only problem I have with Magicjack is outbound voice.

I hope I'm right in believing that when properly configured, the Magicjack will work flawlessly. I use a Torrent client and may need help there too.

Can some patient soul help me get this thing at least started. Then I may only bug you for some tweaks.

    Thanks

    Thanks in advance
    Barry

I've seen those, but they don't go into enough detail about what the options do nor why I'm having the trouble that I'm having.

Please note that the wikibooks QOS guide is for the original QOS setup in Tomato, but the problem with that is - it basically doesn't work very well to control P2P. Yes, it's simpler, but ..... do you want it simple or do you want it to work? :D

It appears I've found the problem. It was my macular degeneration that caused me to misread a setting. It all seems to be working fine. Oh, and Toastman, one of your links was very useful as well to fine tune some settings. It would appear thus far that Magicjack is working perfectly for now. This is what I've been striving for. The VOIP and MJack work perfectly while bandwidth is maxed out now.

    Many thanks.

    P. S.: I found this link that was at least a little helpful. I didn't see it till today 2/9/10. It's still incomplete in my view, but may help someone.

Or, there is this that I found 2/10/10:

    http://www.ciminski.de/simon/ftp/wl...oks, collection of open-content textbooks.pdf

It explained Tomato and QOS settings better for my limited mental capacity.
