Assigning IP to MAC address

    I have a WRT54GS, running Linksys firmware 1.05.2.

I would like to assign a static IP to my laptop. I don't want to do it through the laptop itself, because it connects to other DHCP networks. My previous router achieved this by assigning a static IP based on the MAC address of the wireless card of the laptop.

    Is this possible here?

Yeah, it's called static dhcp. I'm not sure if the default firmwares have that but definitely the 3rd party firmwares like DDWRT, HyperWRT.
