    (First post)
I'm exited to be here, b/c I just received my Asus RT-N16. I'm replacing my trusty WRT54GL, running tomato.
The plan is to install some TomatoUSB mod on it (I'm leaning towards Toastman's).

So, I'm doing my due-diligence mandatory reading before I dive in, when I run into this thread, where I learn that there are two hardware revisions of RT-N16!?

Anyone has more info about the differences between the two?
How can I tell which one I have?
What are the implications if I'd like to install flash with TomatoUSB?

kthaddok's post contains the excerpt of text suggesting there are 2 HW revisions. It was copied from the post made by Toasman I was referring to.
Since nobody seems to know anything about it (not even google) it's probably nothing.

Soz if this caused some kind of commotion.

No commotion at all. Very interesting, but maybe something that never came to be? The model I pulled off the shelf yesterday is labeled A1.

I'm the cause of this - as I parked that info in that thread so I wouldn't lose it when I was offsite one day. I then forgot to move it when I got home.

I actually found it somewhere on the web (I believe it was maybe in the Russian ASUS forum) and was curious about it too. Oleg generally knows about new things in the pipeline - perhaps from ASUS directly. But this almost certainly refers to last year.

    I never heard of a B1.

I may as well move it here as it's been mentioned.
