Hi folks, just dropping by briefly (I'm still on hiatus, FYI). I have an Asus RT-N16 (original hardware revision, i.e. A0) which I've "modded" to a USB serial console port (plug directly into your PC + install FTDI driver + connect to the COM port at 115200 / 8N1 / no flow control and you're good to go). CFE is fully accessible/usable. Router has no problems/issues/etc. (all LAN ports work at gigE, WAN port works, wireless works / no signal issues) -- it used to be my primary home router. I'm getting rid of it because I need the cash (been unemployed for a little over a year) and since it has serial console figured I'd offer it to the community here first, particularly for developers who don't want to mod their existing router but want to run a debug/verbose kernel to help track down issues. Comes with 1.28.0502 MIPSR2Toastman-RT-N K26 USB Ext pre-installed, and everything is set to factory defaults. I can provide photos of it if asked (USB serial cable comes out the back of the unit; a small hole was drilled in the back and the cable fed through, connected to TxD/RxD/GND, and then hot glue used to hold the cable in place at tension/stress points to minimise any problems. Not rocket science. It's aesthetically pleasing). Looking to sell it for around US$60, and I'm willing to pay S/H if the destination is within the United States. If a developer is interested in it, I'll provide a slight discount. Thank you!
