Asus RT-N53 bricked?

Hey guys, so I tried flashing the N53 to tomato using this guide: http://moonlightknighthk.wordpress.com/2012/02/04/install-tomato-firmware-on-asus-router/ and using firmware tomato-K26USB-1.28.RT-N5x-MIPSR2-112-RT-N53.trx (Shibby's)

However, I kept getting the error "Failed to connect to wireless router..." in the Asus Firmware Restoration utility. I tried a few more times and still nothing. Then I tried going back to the stock firmware and I get the same error. The router seems to be going in recovery mode (the power button flashes slowly), however it doesn't seem to be taking the firmware. Have I bricked the router?

I also read that there are two different versions of the N53, A and B. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with this...

Edit: Sorry, it looks like I've posted this in the wrong subforum
