Authentication at the router front

When people connect to my servers from the Internet through my NAT router such as the Linksys box, the incoming request is forwarded by the router to the appropriate server based on the port number. Then it is up to the server behind the router to ask for authentication such as a username and password.

Is there a way to make a Linksys router, particularly the ones with the 3rd party FW, to have the user authenticate themselves at the "front door" that is the router itself before the request is allowed to be forwarded to the server?
