Can I backup my Tomato config from a Buffalo WHR-HP-54G and restore it to a Linksys WRT-54G? Or will some of the Buffalo only settings be applied to the Linksys device?

Curious me, but why do you swap buffalo for linksys???

Really though... I'd keep the Buffalo and sell the Linksys... I mean I love Linksys, but internally the hardware is almost the same, and the Buffalo has a better range.

Because I no longer need the extended range of the Buffalo. And I should be able to get more $ for the Buffalo on eBay. I did not recently buy the Linksys, I actually have had it for a while.

I was planning to sell my Linksys WRT54GL for a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54. Does the Buffalo really have a better throughput or is it quite the same ? I'm having problem selling the Linksys, so does it worth the trouble to sell it or not ?

The wireless range should be better, but as far as data throughput I never really noticed a difference with regular daily use. I never ran any specific tests to compare though.
