Bandwidth control/limiting

    hi, i new to this whole thing but i have 3 questions

    1. Between Satori and alchemy which is best for bandwidth limiting or control.

    2.i currently have hyperwrt with the latest official linksys firmware installed. can i flash to either of the 2 firmwares mentioned above.

    3.If i do flash, what version should i flash the firmware to

    satori is way old. try alchemy v1.0. it doesn't do good "limiting" per say, but you can set certain services such as p2p apps to BULK settings in the QoS settings so it won't eat up your bandwidth. So you can 'control' your bandwidth semi, but you can control each client. client control by ip, mac address, upload limits and download limits are supposed to be in the upcoming talisman 1.1 release. due out sept. 1st. 3 days. I'll see if it does because its a feature i'd like to have.

    I want to register for sveasofts website to get access to the firmware but i dont want to do so until this new firmware comes out, however i have been searching and i was wondering how can i find out when this new firmware is released? I've searched all over sveasofts website and couldnt find the answer.

    Well, give DD-WRT a try. Better than Sveasoft's firmwares in any mean possible, and also is free.
