Sorry if this may seem like a stupid question. But can I control how much bandwidth the computers on my network can use. Both Upload & Download with QoS or something else in this firmware?

you can with advanced scripting, as i have added the capability for the imq device, but not by using the gui i'm afraid. if someone were to modify the qos page to allow incoming and outgoing bandwidth restrictions, it'd be a different matter entirely

So I would be able to limit the bandwidth used by a specific ip/mac from ssh/console or? http://www.linuximq.net/usage.html

    Thibor,

Are you going to write the tutorial on bandwidth shaping here or on your site?
I am interested to learn as well.

I am going to implement a wireless network for a studnet accomodation and i want to implement shaping as to allow each connection to have a max limit so they can share the connection equally. ( ie. no one student consumes all the BW)

How can i achiese this using scripting?
