    Hi there,

I have a WRT54G running on DD-WRT v23b (04.10.05) connected to my ADSL modem with 8/1 connection. Then I have WAP54G (Linksys 3.03) connected as a repeater to the WRT54G in WDS mode. I use 128 bit WEP between all network clients. Everything works perfect, but...

When I do a bandwidth test I get following results (TCP):

    Client A wired - WRT54G ~ 7Mbit/s down 800 kbit/s up

    Client B wireless - WRT54G ~ (-83 dB noise/-35dB SS) 6.5 Mbit/s down 730 kbit/s up

    Client C wired - WAP54G ~ 880 kbit/s down 730 kbit/s up

    Client D wireless - WAP54G (-88 dB noise/-45dB SS) 790 kbit/s down 690 kbit/s up

The link between WRT and WAP seems to be quite stable.
    (WRT shows only noise -79dB)

    So, my questions:

    1) Does anybody have a clue why do I loose so much bandwidth on my downlink for clients C&D? The UL seems to work almost perfect...

    2) What are the good/medium/bad figures for Noise/SS? Is it better to assign left antenna to UL etc. or is it better to use 'Auto' mode?

    3) What can be done (without new HW) to improve communication between the WRT and WAP?

    Thanx in advance!

Ps. Thanks to the DD-WRT team, your software is great!!! :thumb:
