My BEFSR41 V2 keeps asking for my password when I click APPLY after making, or trying to make, a change such as PORT FORWARDING. No matter what I change a window opens asking for my USERNAME and PASSWORD, then does NOT accept it and boots me out after 3 attempts.

Are you blocking cookies? disable any firewall or cookie blocking programs.

leave username blank or use root and use admin password

failing this you will need to reset your router. press the reset button for 30 seconds.

I'll try that Toxic. since I can't change the username/password because it keeps popping up a window asking me the username/pwd if I go to change it, I'll do the reset. It's weird. I can't change anything because it keeps popping up that window.

IE 7, Beta 3. But I get the same results with the latest rev of Firefox.

are you running any antivirus/spyware tools? if so try to disable them inc firewall as well just to see if something is blocking the web loading on local IPs

also make sure no proxy cache is used.

will do. I'm running CA eTrust, SpyBot, Kaspersky 6 Pro, along with Windows Defender, and Windows Firewall. I'll check my cache setting.
