it's weird. on all 3 computers i assigned them its ip address (192.168.1.100, 192.168.1.101, 192.168.1.102) in tcp/ip. lan ip is 192.168.1.2. when i goto forward ports on the router for this computer it disconnects me, and the other 2 will stay online. so now identd, ftp, and whatever else i have to open ports for isn't working. am i having ip conflicts or is it something else?

    modem is a Westell 2100
    isp is bellsouth
    firmware 1.46.02

    it's a bridged connection.

edit: as of now i've had no disconnects on this computer for a few hours but that's because i havn't forwarded any ports on this computers ip.

try changing the routers lan ip to 192.168.2.1,sometimes westell has the same lan ip with the linksys routers.
