Hello, I'm trying to change my dynamic IP address. I reset my modem and sure enough, I had a different IP address the next morning.

However when I connect my modem ethernet cable to my linksys BEFSR41 V3 router, it keeps giving me that IP i wanted to change from.

Now I've heard that changing the MAC address of my router was a possible solution but whenever I do clone it, my internet does not seem to be working.

Any insight/input would be greatly appreciated as I've been trying to change my IP address for the past 4 months to no avail.
