BEFSR81v3 Port LEDs Flash Constantly

I have a Linksys BEFSR81v3 router which has an Ethernet LED lit for each active port. Unless data is active on a particular port, its LED does not flash. So no traffic = no flashing LEDs. This means I can easily monitor which of the networked PCs/servers/audio players is currently “busy†exchanging data.

For almost a year now I have also had a D-Link DBT900-AP Bluetooth-to-LAN Access Point, connected to Port 7 of the BEFSR81. It works fine with my Pocket PC and phone, but as long as it is connected to the router all the (active) port LEDs on the router flash on/off roughly twice per second, making it impossible to monitor network activity. Switch off power to the AP, and problem goes away.

At one point, and by sheer accident, I did something that temporarily fixed the issue, but it recurred. So I do know it can be made to stop this behaviour!

Q1) Is there anything I can do to the BEFSR81 (or DBT900-AP) settings to fix this?

Q2) Any other suggestions as to how to cure this?

It's not exactly a major issue, just very irritating!
