I have a couple questions for the community here. I recently purchased two BEFSX41 routers to try and establish a hardware only based VPN solution. What I have are two high speed cable connections and I've placed these routers behind both of them. Both have static IPs. My ultimate goal is to get these two routers to establish a VPN tunnel between themselves... so any devices (computers, etc.) I attach to the network on either side can see everything on both ends of the tunnel. I wanted to avoid installing client software on all my machines. I don't even know if this is possible, but from the few things I've read about the BEFVP41 it seemed like it would be. If anyone can shed some light on what I've trying to do and if either of these routers (or any other routers you know of) can actually do what I'm wanting it would be much appreciated. The whole purpose is to avoid having WinXP VPN client or a 3rd party client having to be loaded onto any computers. I figured if I could get both routers to login to each other's VPN features then I would be able to create 1 persistant network between two points over the internet. Let me know what you guys think... I'm open to any thoughts and suggestions on the best way to accomplish my goal. Thanks in advance!
