    Hello forumers,

Just wanted to share this in case there are others who use the same router... :)

I've been using the latest v1.02.06.3 firmware on my BEFVP41 V2.0 for about a week now, and have had some issues with it. These are:

    1) The DNS server function seems to die after a few hours of normal operation.
    2) Router warm-boots itself randomly when I have the DMZ enabled for a host on my LAN.

For #1, my setup is that my LAN computers obtain their IP parameters via DHCP from the BEFVP41. This therefore automatically assigns the internal IP address of the BEFVP41 ((192.168.x.x) as the gateway and DNS IP on the client computers. After some random time, my computers can no longer resolve domain names by can ping IP addresses on the net. Manually setting the ISP DNS IPs (ergo, bypassing the router DNS completely) on the client computers restores DNS functionality.

For #2, this warm-boot happens more predictably (about 30-35minutes interval) especially when I run torrents on one machine on the LAN. Not running torrent downloads and disabling the DMZ host seems to improve the interval between warm boots, but it still happens at random. LogViewer indicates that a warm-restart occurred at the time.

Before I updated the firmware from v1.01.04, I reset the router to factory defaults first. After the update, I again reset to factory defaults and then I put back the settings by hand (as suggested on other forums). This did not improve upon the issues above, however.

Oh well, looks like I'll be going back to v1.01.04 when I have the time.

I'd like to go back to v1.01.04 myself. I did not make a back up copy before upgrading. Do you know where I can download v1.01.04? Thanks.
