This is my first posting here, so I ask for tolerance. I haven't seen an answer but maybe I haven't looked hard enough (or in the right place). I have what I believe is a "v1" BEFSR41. I have been told that if I had a "v2" or a "v3" BEFSR41 it would say so on its label, on the bottom, and it doesn't. Would somebody please confirm? It came (used, cheap (I'm sorry, please don't suggest I get a newer or better one)) with "1.15" firmware, and in the last day or two I have (I believe) upgraded it to "1.46.02" which is the newest that the Linksys web site had (but this gets to my question). Is the "v1" vs. "v2" vs "v3" difference a "hardware" difference or a "firmware" difference? Or both? Specifically, assuming I do have a "v1" BEFSR41, can I download the latest "v3" firmware and install it? Would I then have a "v3" BEFSR41? Etc. Thanks in advance.
