Belkin F5D7000 wireless adapter with Windows 2000

Hi - I am using Belkin F5D7000 wireless adapter (driver version 3.10.36.0) with the Belkin wireless LAN utility (ver. 3.10.36.0_27) that came as a bundle. This is the latest win2k driver that Belkin list on their website for this card. I use this card in a PC that is connected by wireless to a Windows NT network.

It is a real pain using this driver/utility combination because the utility doesn't load until after the windows logon screen - so the 1st time I try to logon to win NT network the logon fails because there is no network connection and I am logged on with a local profile.

At this point the wireless utility has loaded and I can access the Internet but I then have to log off and then back on again in order to be authenticated by the win NT domain.

Is there a way of getting the wireless connection up at boot up so the connection is there at the 1st logon attempt?

The F5D7000 uses Broadcom chipset and I have seen another forum posting where more recent Broadcom drivers have been used with this card. Do these drivers suffer from the same problem?

    Thanks,

    Chris
